In this political cartoon , it shows the previous president of Egypt, Mubarak, finally stepping down after 30 long years of dictatorship. It also shows that an unknown person is going to be replacing Mubarak's position.Mubarak's facial expression is clearly unhappy because he had to do something he didn't want to. The author uses this image to show whats next after Mubarak's presidency.
Deng Coy Miel uses imagery, and metaphor to describe the usage of the Egyptians presidency. Its a relief to see that Mubarak finally stepped down after all these years.There is a sense of freedom that the Egyptians now feel,because they are no longer regulated under the same rules that they were with Mubarak. Now there can be democracy and laws within the Egyptians government. There seems to be an optimism since there is an anonymous person stepping in to withold Mubarak's position.
