In this image the cartoonist uses visual imagery to compare the deliverance of valentine wishes between both sexes. This image contains what appears to be teenagers of both sexes. The girl is holding a valentines day card while the boy is heavily engaged in his phone and sends a message. The day being represented in this cartoon is valentines day. Like an ordinary valentines day, people send their loved ones messages and/ or cards to wish them a happy valentines day. In this generation the popular way to distribute these messages are through the virtual world eg. texting, tweeting, and emailing which is what the boy is shown doing in this image. In contrast the girl on the other hand has written a card to give to the boy. This can be seen as girls having more emotional attachments because and views a card as being more sentimental than a message through the virtual world. The deliverance of valentines wishes has changed over the years, but the message in the valentine cards remain the same.
