This political cartoon is depicting the President and the Republican as dumb during a roung of Jeporady with a computer. Watson a computer genius created by IBM is mocking the President as well as the Republican Party by implying that figuring out the answers to creating a better economic situation isnt that difficult.
The cartoon is a humorous view of the important economic issues that are going on today. On Obama's side of the podium the answer to the question is incorrect. However, on the opposite side of Obama, The Republican Party didn't give the right answer either. Leaving a computer to get the answer right! My point of view on this cartoon is one that totally contradicts the Cartoonist. I believe that Obama is doing everything in his power to clean up the mess that was left for him to clean up. If there was to be a tax hike, it could only help our economy by bringing us out of debt. So Obama's is in the cleaning process of his presidency. The Republicans, on the other hand feel that spending cuts would be effective. For Who? We need to spend to reboost our economy, so the Republicans point of view would obviously be detremental to our economy's health. All in all, I stand by Obama in his quest to bring us a more profitable and respectable country. The United States of America!
