This cartoon shows Franklin Delano Roosevelt playing cards. The cards that are showing spell out the different Administrations he started after he became President during The Great Depression. His "New Deal" consisted of the TVA, which stood for Tennessee Valley Authority, this act was created to build damns and create free electricity for places there was none before, and created more jobs for the jobless. He also created the WPA, Work Progress Administration. this act was made to build roads, bridges, public work and other construction projects. This managed to put nine million men back to work. Also, the AAA, Agricultural Adjustment Act. This act actually paid farmers not to produce crops. It supports food prices and saves countless farmers. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was trying to help the United States while we were in a rough time. This time was called The Great Depression. Roosevelt made a series of acts that were made to make the country better. He made 4 acts. personally, I think the WPA was most important. The Work Progress Administration helped put close to 9 million men back to work building dams and roads. The purpose of the dams were to use the flow of the running water for electricity that was being produced by nature itself. explorepahistory.com/images/ExplorePAHistory-a0k8k6-a_349.jpgAttachments:
