In this political cartoon, there is a picture of the United States and how the snow is spreading through the country. In diffrent parts of the map there are multiple comments such as, "Oh look! A snowflake!", "Another snow day!", and one in a more exaggerated tone, "We're all gonna die!!" As the snow progresses eastwards towards New York, the comments intensify as if the snow is increasing and never ends. This displays how the heavy snow is taking over the country and the northeastern states are going to receive a huge amount of the "never-ending" snow. Through the use of a hyperbole and imagery, this image demonstrates how the massive snowstorm is consuming the United States and the distress it is bringing as it continues roaming across the country. I do agree with this cartoon because at first it was considered just a simple snowstorm until the snow did not stop falling and it covered the whole nation. People did not realize how severe this was until it kept on which is why the northeastern states were freaking out, hence the " We're all gonna die!!" statement.
