In this picture we can see a sedentary American sitting down and enjoying the Oscar's. She seems to be indulging the awards because of her posture , in her hand is clearly an award she was given because of her time she waisted watching the award. We can see a man who popped out the T.V to hand the elderly lady her award she deserves. ''And the award for waisting time watching meaningless , frivolous , self-obsesses award shows to.....you!''He does this with a smile because he know's that she is just one of many who desevers this specific award .
Through the use of personification , imagery , and metaphor this image potray how daily Americans get caught up into watching meaningless , frivolous , and self-obsessed award shows. I agree with this picture because we are known for sitting around and watching shows that boosts egos that are already elevated. Award shows are indeed self-obessessive because celebrities who are awarded , or win oscars become self-indulged by their success. As for us Americans we sit there and watch them get higher into society while we remain the same.
