With it being oscar season, many people have a different outlooks on the awards. In this photo there is a man with a puzzled look on his face pulling on his pant pocket with one hand, and holding an academy award in the other. The writing on the man's vest says "taxpayer and on the oscar it says "supporting role. The author of this cartoon is implying that the consumers deserve the award for supporting roles since they are the ones paying to go see them. Holding out his pockets, the man in the cartoon shows that he has emptied out his pockets to go see movies of actors and actresses nominated for oscars. People spend their last pennies to go see movies of these actors, while the actors just get richer. The everyday people watching these movies are tax payers that spend their money supporting movies and never get recognized for their part in an actors movie being a success.
