www.polls.newsvine.com/_vine/images/users/600/robtornoe/6220265.jpgThis political cartoon deals with the crazy gas prices that are starting to skyrocket. They have gone up 50 cents in the past couple of weeks. In this cartoon, you see a women standing at the gas pump with a frustrated look on her face because of the ridiculous prices she is seeing as she fills her car. Then you see a caption coming from the women saying, "I hate Democracy..." She is saying this because this is all happening because the dictator in Libya does not want to relinquish power. Through the use of imagery and syntax, the cartoon Gas Turmoil is expressing the stress of these rising prices and the effect it is going to have on the citizens of our country. I completely agree with this cartoon because I have the same feeling when i'm sitting at the gas pump watching the amount rise as i'm filling up my car. These prices will continue to rise if the dictator in Libya remains doing the same thing he is doing.
