1. Use an adjectival clause in a complex sentence. -The house in which I grew up in is in Miami.
2. Use an adverbial clause in a compound-complex sentence. -Even though the teacher said to be quiet, the class didn't listen, and they proceeded with their conversations.
3. Use a dependent clause of your choice in a sentence: Identify which type of clause (adverbial or adjectival) you have used. -Sam failed the test because he didn't study. (adverbial)
4. In a complex sentence in which you describe your feelings about summer, include two dependent clauses of your choice. Identify each dependent clause and tell which type it is. -When summer began (adverbial), all the students were happy because that is when they feel more freedom (adjectival).
5. Write a compound-complex sentence explaining which subject is your favorite. Identify which type of dependent clause you used. -Science is my favorite subject because I find it pretty easy, and I usually get an A. (adjectival)
