Simple:
The duck quacked.
The dog got away.
Compound:
Jack yelled, Tom sang, and Jennifer talked.
The dogs howled, the pigs oinked, and the birds tweeted.
Complex:
That bird that was on the wire tweeted loudly
After Mike played football, he ate lunch
Compound- Complex:
As Jack played basketball, Peter played football and scored touchdowns
When Mike played PlayStation 3, Carl played Xbox and broke it.
Simple:
