In this image, we see a man with a crown standing atop of what looks like a thrown cowering in fear of a little blue bird. The man with the crown who is standing atop of the thrown, we can assume, would most likely represent the president of Egypt. The thrown itself could represent Egypt's government. The little blue bird with a letter 't' on it's chest represents twitter. The message here is that, through the use of twitter and the internet, the citizens are able to communicate easily and are able to organize events through such a manner. Due to twitter being such a useful resource in Egypt's rebellion to the citizens, the government, and president, should ultimately fear it. We can assume this through the use of sweat jumping from the man's head and the scared expression he wears.
Through the use of the internet, such as twitter, enraged citizens are able to plan events, rallies, and other gatherings which would greatly influence the out outcome of their rebellion. In my opinion, the government has every right to be afraid of twitter. One tweet from a person can be read by thousands, and those thousands can act on that one tweet. Twitter, as reported on the news, played a large role in determining where many of the rallies were held. It was even used by reporters to update how the situation was as the days went on. It's such a powerful tool, and although it's not a bomb or a gun, it's just as strong. Which is scarier: one gun, or one twitter post that rallies thousands of citizens into an area? Indeed, the government should be terrified of something as simple as twitter.
